Lines that built a story on iTunes set to Shuffle - Day 9 of 30 day writing challenge

30-Day writing challenge through Kale & Cigarettes (500 words)

I'm trying an experiment today to get inspired to write. I also have a task to do and don't mind you watching me do it. I'm playing my entire iTunes library on Shuffle, and part of the job is to discard songs which really do not need to be with me any longer. This includes all the oldest songs I've had pre-Apple products. iTunes was my first Apple account and it's been so long that my Apple ID has the oldest email address and password and security questions, so it took me an entire day to Authorize my computer after a recent upgrade to play some older songs. I have so many songs from my pirate bay torrent downloads too, which sometimes included 13 albums when I only wanted one song.

I'm a mystery

Each song that plays, I'll record one of the lines that draws me in the most... (but I won't be including the song names because I'm a Pisces and kind of like being a mystery).

"The more I try to hurt you, the more that it hurts me."

"I don't care what you do. I don't care what you say."

"All roads lead to where you are."

"Got to give in. Look to the light. Last time it altered my mind."

It's right here

"I don't have to leave anymore. What I have is what's here."

"I know more than I knew before."

"Through the woods to a time that came before."

"Come on now... bring it on bring it on."

"I won't be the one to leave this in pieces."

"I want to be in my way of living."

My reflection

"Climbed a mountain and I turned around. And I saw my reflection..."

"I just want to be me when I can."

"We're distracted by the hard times. Let us throw them in the ocean."

"When are you going to come down. When are you going to learn?"

"They say we're made of mostly water. Then how come we can't find the sea?"

Slow down

"Slow down. You don't have to talk. Lie down. Breathe. Stop. Slow down. It's not your fault."

"That is the one that I dream about."

"No matter what comes crashing down, I'm still going to stand my solid ground."

"I might as well talk in my sleep."

"My blood needs room to breathe."

"Like the stars beneath the waters that you walk on."

"Just another fragile angel heart."

"My shadow runs with me underneath the big white sun."

Love

"Love. Love. Love. There's nothing you can do that can't be done."

"I remember you, that way."

"You said that I should get away from it all, and bury my head in the sand if I want to. I thank you."

"Just a massive undertaking pacified."

"The light you see in my eyes, you do have something to do with."

"And I'm not scared of your strong power. See right through you in the hour."

"I had a dream I stood beneath an orange sky."

[And next... I'll make a playlist out of all the instrumental songs I just skipped to.]
